Obituary of Kenneth W. Miles

Bedford Kenneth W. Miles, 83 of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday evening, September 25, 2012 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital. Born June 19, 1929 in North Vernon, IN, he was the son of Alva Ford and Dora M. (Hicks) Miles. He married Mary B. (Suzy) Snow on October 15, 1966 and she preceded him in death on September 3, 2006. He retired from Indiana Insurance Co. in Indianapolis in 1990 and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, American Legion Gillen Post #33, B.P.O.E. #826 in Bedford, Ball State University Alumni Assoc. and director and past president of the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include a granddaughter, Jacquie Rosen and husband, Mike; two great grandsons and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a step-daughter, Marihelen Edwards; a sister, A. Pauline James and a son-in-law, Jack Edwards. Funeral Information Graveside service will be conducted at 2:15 pm on Saturday, September 29th in Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
