The present seemingly fades to past. The good, the bad never last. Spoken words are long forgotten. The memory of a laugh a thought of a smile this so effortlessly makes life worth while. Time slowly begins to pass. The laugh begins to dim, the smile dulls. It seems time as it is, trys to rob you away from me. Will I lose you once more? No..... The little boy of years past calls out to you. He will have you run to his safe place, where you are never alone, never forgotten. A place you have always been loved. Arms wide open, the little boy calls out your name. Waiting for you to come. Finally there you stand almost arms reach from the little boy. The little boy runs and prepares for embrace, but where have you gone? As quickly as you came just as fast you are gone.The tear stained faceed little boy suddenly realizes he is a grown man now. The man was never there to embrace the little boy. The man was just a memory to the little boy. Now the tear stained face of the man who was the little boy of years past closes his eyes. Once again he is a little boy. This time the man who stood before him, his father, was there once again...... This time the little boy reaches his little hand out. It is met with his Father's much larger hand. The little boy looks up, smiles and says "I missed you daddy." "Its now time to run to my safe place." "where is that?" His father asks. The little boy smiles even bigger...... "A place where you are never alone, and never forgotten." "A place you have always been loved." "Somehow, it seems that you have always been there........" "My heart."
