Obituary of Aaron J. Brain

Springville – Aaron J. Brain, 63, of Springville, went to be with the Lord at 5:22 am on Monday, March 29, 2021 at his residence. Born August 24, 1957 in Jasper, IN, he was the son of Joe and Mary Lou (Haase) Brain. He married Mattie (Wagers) Hopkins on December 1, 1982 and she survives. He was a graduate of Purdue University with the class of 1978 and a member of the Tunnel Hill Pentecostal Church. He was a mechanical engineer at NWSC Crane for thirty-seven years. Survivors include his wife, Mattie, of Springville; two sons, Christopher Eric Hopkins and wife, Emily and Dustin Aaron Brain and wife, Rebekah, both of Springville; four grandchildren, Savanah Nicole Hopkins, Alan Joseph Brain, Katie Emily Brain, Sarah Michelle Brain, and three children who were loved like grandchildren, Jedd Cummings, Cylaine Cummings and Clayton Cummings; four siblings, Jeffrey Brain, of Bedford, Theresa Magnus and husband, Mike, of Oolitic, Angie Shank and husband, Bruce, of Freedom, Jerry Brain and wife, Sarah, of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews. He was loved by many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, April 2nd at Tunnel Hill Pentecostal Church, 6605 S. State Road 45, Bloomfield, IN with Rev. Justin Berger, Rev. Johnny Shephard and Rev. Dallas Lakes officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 1st at Tunnel Hill Pentecostal Church. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
