As the wife of pap's grandson, I'm so grateful he was a steadfast man of faith. He has left such a legacy for the coming generations. His presence in the church lead to his grandson's presence in the church. Because of this example his great-grandchildren are being raised to know and love God. Truly the greatest gift you can give to someone. I will forever love him for that.....well.... also for some of the best jokes ever told. Amen!

I remember when I was baptized he came up to the front of the church with me and as I recall he re-dedicated himself at the same time (giving me confidence) . Pap never knew a stranger and I am a lucky man to have had such a great person to be my grandfather. He will be missed and loved until we meet again. I love ya pap,

Jimmy was a fine man. I’ve heard him tell stories of growing up with my older sisters. They are all gone now except for one. His mom was a good lady as well. She and my mother Lucille were basically “sisters” and great friends. Jimmy may be gone but he’ll never be forgotten. Hank Mayden
