I am going to miss my mother-in-law Sandy. My husband Billy loved to tease her about anything. I know how much she loved working at Bertha’s Mission and I sure she is dearly missed by everyone she came into touch with. She never met a stranger. I know she will be at peace in heaven with Bob and Billy and all 9 if her grandchildren.

Bobbi, Beverly and Polly, our sisters from another mother. We want you to know how deeply sorry we are for the loss of your mother. As you know we thought of her as our other mom. I know she is going to be so very missed by many. She touched so many lives in all that she did for our little town and for all of Lawrence County. We are praying for all of you and want to send our love and hugs to our sisters.

So sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. She was a sweet lady and had kept me informed of all the goings on with Heltonville Baptist Church for our Bedford Baptist Association. She really enjoyed working at Bertha's Mission. She will be missed.

I keep hearing Sandy yell at Polly & I, "will you two shut up!" I'm not sure why Sandy didn't appreciate us laughing into the wee hours of the morning. Probably for the same reason we didn't appreciate her waking us up early the next morning to get back at us, lol. Sandy was something else. I sure loved her. She gave me my very best friend and I'll always be thankful to her and Bob for that. So many memories: Girl Scout memories, going with Polly when they twirled at IU & sold concessions, staying at their house, going to Ed & Edith's to name a few. I'll really miss Sandy, but I'm glad she's free of pain and sickness.
