John left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a great since of humor. We were at the Freeman house for thanksgiving years ago. John had been grilling ears of corn on a charcoal grill for hours. He finally brought in the corn and tried an ear. He then offered me some. After I had a bite, John looked at me and said "pretty bad, huh?". He was a hoot!

John was a very loving and kind man. I know he loved God, his family, and his country. He was a friend to anyone he met. This type a man is hard to come by and hard to lose. May God bless your family.
