Obituary of Cheryl New

Bedford –Cheryl New, 47, of Bedford, died Friday, January 30, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Born February 27, 1967 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Phillip and Linda (Horner) New. She was a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School with the class of 1985. She was a quality checker for Modus Link PTS and had attended Southland Church of Christ and Body of Christ Church. Survivors include her parents, Phillip and Linda New of Bedford; two daughters, Camysha New and fiancé Danny Snap and Destiny New both of Bedford; a grandson, Hunter Snapp; her maternal grandparents, Edward and Katherine Horner of Bedford; a sister, Misty Sheetz and husband, Ray of Bedford; nieces, Chelsee New and Jessica New-Hackney and husband, Eric; several great nieces and nephews; uncles, Brian Horner and wife, Tammy of Paris Crossing, William Silvers and wife, Mamie, Landice Silvers and wife, Thelma, all of Bedford; an aunt, Marsha Silvers and husband, Jack, of Bedford and several cousins. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Hope New and paternal grandparents, Noble New and wife, Madge and Rowena Stapp. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 7th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with John Turpin officiating. Burial will follow in Pinhook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, February 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
