I had Mr. Godsey as a teacher in 5th Grade and he coached me in 5th grade basketball. I ran into him several times since graduating from Pendleton and IU and he was always smiling and genuinely interested in the lives of former students. He touched many lives!

I also was a student some 29 er years ago. He had such a presence. I can remember seeing him after graduation before he retired he always brought back loads of childhood memories.
Maybe from God's garden he can look over mine to help keep the critters away (special prayer for the corn).
I do wonder how may times he had been told "I had you in the 5th grade".
He will be missed

Even though its been many years since I have seen Charles I will always remember him and his family from the Springville United Methodist Church. A very big part of my life during my younger years.

Mr. Godsey was a teacher at South when I was growing up. I never personally had him but my brother did and through my family volunteering down at the school I got a chance to know Mr. Godsey even better. I remember in high school always seeing his smiling face watching the games and I would always make a special point to go and talk to him and see how he was. He was a great teacher and a great person. He will be missed greatly by all those whose lives he touched. My deepest sympathy goes to each of you. Lisa (Wallace) Fulk

Alice and family,
My deepest sympathies on the loss of Charles. He was a good friend to me over the years. I never really got to know him until he moved back down with your dad. We spent a lot of time over the years talking sports at the restaurant. He was always supportive of my children when they played ball and I always appreciated that. He had a real love for kids and athletics. I moved away from Springville about 2 1/2 years ago and have not had many chances to talk to him lately. I will miss him and his stories. One thing is for certain, we know that he is in Heaven with his Creator and that gives us all hope of seeing him again someday.
May God Bless and keep all of you.
Best regards, Bruce
