Obituary of Russell D. Johnson

Bedford Russell D. Johnson, 78, of 121 Old Buddha Road, Bedford, died at 7:22 am on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Indiana University Health in Bloomington, IN. Born June 18, 1932 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Fay E. and Villa (Monday) Johnson. He married Marilyn Jackson on July 11, 1980 and she survives. He retired from Central Foundry in 1992 and was a member of the Leathwood Christian Church, Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM and U.A. W. Local #440. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, of Bedford; four sons, Tom Johnson and wife, Sandra, of Columbus, Gary Johnson and wife, Liane of Bloomington, Brad Johnson and wife, Kim, of Owensville, IN, Todd Johnson of Paoli; three daughters, Pamela Pinto of Bedford, Gina Hembree and husband, Randy of Bloomington and Tina Earl and husband, Tim of Silverville; four brothers, Kenny Johnson and wife, Barbara, and Benny Johnson and wife, Barbara all of Washington, Jim Johnson and wife, Wilma, of Arizona, Jack Johnson and wife, Becky of Bedford; three sisters, May Newkirk of Florida, Rose Cummings and husband, Jack, Vera Quackenbush and husband, Don all of Bedford, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Sherman Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Leatherwood Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Masonic services at 7:00pm.
