I worked with Russ for many years as his nurse at GM. We'd go to these meetings where there would be a big meal and NOBODY could eat like Russ. We'd be struggling to finish one plate and he'd be going back for seconds and thirds. And he'd never gain an ounce! My prayers to the family for the loss of this wonderful man. He will be missed by many....

Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to all of the family. I have many fond memories of Uncle Russ. I spent many weeks over summer break at his house when I was a kid. He always made me feel very welcome and treated me as one of his own. For this, I will be forever grateful. Rest in Peace Uncle Russ.

I will always remember PaPaw as a bright smile on a spring day, hunting morels, and the buzz of hummingbirds that gathered around his numerous feeders. My apologies to the family and PaPaw for not making it to the funeral....but I would rather think of him in life and keep those memories alive. Love you, PaPaw Johnson!
