I think of you often. especially now, as I am on the last 6 months of a 3 year temporary duty assignment on a military base overseas. Somehow being around and working with the brave young men and woman of our military makes me feel closer to you. I keep this picture by my computer. I feel as if this is you, looking down from above, seeing what i am doing here, being proud of me, watching over me. There is not a day goes by that Im not reminded of you.

I miss you Gary. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I still remember the last time I saw you in that bunker in Iraq and the last time I heard your name. I was at the CQ desk the night the phone rang and my life changed. I can't wait to see you again.

Zach is with our heavenly father above, getting the royal treatment in which he deserves. Even though we will miss him dearly here, he is watching over us and he knows that we love him. To family and friends--you will always be in my heart and in my prayers. I miss you Zachery D. Gary.

What a shock to find this obituary on my computer today. I realize it has been over a month since Zach left you. How hard it is to go when we loose a loved one.
I had Zach as a second grader at Fayetteville. What a little charmer he was! I will always think of his beautiful smile and his dancing eyes.
He was truly one of a kind and will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.
God bless you and comfort you as you continue to grieve. God will bear your sorrows with you and heal your aching hearts.
God bless and keep you all until you meet Zach on that golden shore.

THE FUN THE HARD && MOSTLY the day when i was road guard for a day && we had our "road guard Creed" HA HA but i got mad at you cause you wouldn't let me remain the roadguard! HA HA! I had the pleasure of meeting Zachery when he purchased a Explorer from me in July of 2006 he became more than just a customer as we talk alot even while he was deployed. My heart goes out to his family and freinds as we all have lost a good person i'm just glad i had the chance to meet and get to know Zachery. While Zach was attending Bedford Middle School, it a better place because he was here. When something bad happens to any of our former students were are grieved. When they a particularly endearing as Zach was, that grief is extreme.

I never met SPC Gary but as a Paratrooper myself, I will miss my brother in arms. May God rest his soul. He touched many in his short time with us.
