Obituary of Eliza Bee Johnson

Medora Eliza Bee Johnson, 88, of 924 George Johnson Road, Medora, IN, died at 11:53 am on Friday, February 29, 2008 at her residence. Born March 12, 1919 in Four Mile, KY, she was the daughter of George Washington and Sally Bell (Spicer) Noble. She married George W. Johnson on January 14, 1938 and he died on November 20, 2003. Eliza was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She retired from farming along with her husband after sixty-nine years. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Leesville. Survivors include five sons, Raymond Johnson and his wife, Martha, Willard Johnson and his wife, Connie all of Bedford, Frank Johnson and his wife, Mary of Otwell, IN, Richard Johnson of Medora, George Junior Johnson and his wife, Renee of Washington, IN; four daughters, Edith Kemper, Marie Baker and her husband, Johnny all of Bedford, Mary Allman and her husband, Wayne of Seymour, Betty Ann Dion and her husband, Tommy of TX; grandchildren, Sherry Lynn Brown, David Johnson, Danny Johnson, Michael Godwin, Linda Laughlin, Scott Johnson, Mary Alice Garcia, George Wesley Johnson, Brent Kemper, Lois Marie Edwards, Johnny W. Baker, Jr., Richard Baker, Nathan B. Allman, Angela R. Allman, Matthew Scott Johnson, Amy R. Johnson, Alisha J. Johnson, Raymond Irvine Dion, Thomas Patrick Dion, Ashley Renee Johnson, Brittany Renee Johnson, Andrew Paul Johnson, Amanda Gromley and Jim Gromley; great grandchildren, Bonnie Osborn, Sean Godwin, Kristen Godwin, Sarah Godwin, Tony Laughlin, Steve Laughlin, Chris Laughlin, Abby Johnson, Laura Johnson, Chelsea Johnson, Matthew Scott Johnson, Lindsay Garcia, Lauran Garcia, Eric Johnson, Devin Johnson, Trinity Hope Edwards, Kimberly Ann Baker, DeMarco Mercado, Lauren Johnson, Caleb Ireland,Joy Johnson, Kadin Vincent Kemper and Korey Edward Kemper; three brothers, Hubert and Raymond Noble of Ohio and Howard Noble of Bedford; two sisters, Faye Rice and Arkie Jones both of Austin, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of sixty-five years, George, one son, Graden, five brothers and sisters. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, March 3rd at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Leesville with Pastor Larry Mallet officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, March 3rd at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
