Bryan and I felt blessed to know "Aunt Catty" aka "dry toast and tea". As the story goes, while growing up at Hilltop my Bryan heard "Sister Catherine" testify of how the Lord saved her soul and how the Lord had helped her through many things, in a testimony she often said something about dry toast and tea. Hilltop people could tell you more. I remember stumbling onto a patch of honeycomb mushrooms with her and Mama "Lahoma Butler". We were actually walking on a bunch of them when we saw them while picking a wild green called "shawnee". We were all giggling with delight! I felt like I knew her grandkids because she talked about them each week (when I was a kid)when she came to have my mom (Bonnie) comb her hair into a updo! Fond memories of a special lady!
