Valerie, So sorry for the loss of your mother. What a wonderful lady she was. She and Jean Bowersox coached the first girls softball team in Bedford for the Girls cub and I was on it. We came in second place that year. What fun we all had. I would always run into her at Wal-Mart and stop and chat with her. She will truly be missed.

Shirley was the epitome of what I call a TRUE FRIEND. Her laughter, her frankness, her encouragement and her fervent dedication to TRUTH and RIGHTEOUSNESS remain her well noted attributes. I truly love her and appreciate so much the friendship we shared! She was indeed a VERY special lady -- a Christian that knew how to love life and see good days! May God richly bless you and keep you; permitting your retention of all the wonderful memories she created for us all.

Bedford and Lawrence County are better places because of the vision, determination, and hard work of Shirley Wildman. As founder of the Limestone Girls Club, Shirley helped provide many young girls with the opportunity to experience love, fun, and learning on a daily basis. Many adults also benefitted from their interaction with the club. Thank you so much, Shirley, for sharing your vision. May God bless and commfort your family.
