Obituary of Roma E. Vaughn

Bedford- Roma E. Vaughn, 84, of 1207 9th Street Bedford died at 7:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford. Born March 25, 1924 in Bluffton, IN she was the daughter of Charles and Nora (Elick) Decker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bedford. She graduated from Indiana University with Bachelors of Science and Masters degrees. She was a teacher for Shawswick, Oolitic, Needmore, Shoals, and Mitchell schools. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and a member of the AAUW. Survivors include one daughter Nora Coulter of Fairfax, Virginia; three sons George Stephen (Steve) Vaughn and his wife Karen of Greenwood, Thomas J. Vaughn of Bedford Junction, and Eric P. Vaughn of Herndon, Virginia; one granddaughter Jessica Coulter. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Dale, Bruce, and Jack, two sisters Carol and Rowena.
