Unfortunately, I don't have many memories of Grandma Dorothy. The memories I do have I will cherish forever. I remember going to Indiana for Christmas and Grandma introducing me to my favorite cream soda "Big Red" . Spending time with you when we'd visit and you always using the word "Kid"... adorable! I remember your last visit to Arizona, it was my Spring Break and I had lost a serving job at a new restaurant...you sat in my room and comforted me until I fell asleep. Skylar's high school graduation in Georgia 2007 we watched every one of your soap operas even though it meant you canceling a date with Grandpa Gene. Also, at Skylar's graduation luncheon, we shared a bowl chips and salsa while enjoying each other's company. I am sorry I didn't make more of an effort to visit you as I got older... I let "grown up life" get in the way. Even though our times we spent together were not has often as I would have liked, I will cherish our times together and love you dearly. I know you will be looking down from heaven, and I promise to make you proud. Love you Grandma, may you rest in peace. Nicky

My girls and I will never forget how Dorothy jumped in to help us at the time of Don's sudden passing. She was bound and determined that Allison would get to go to college and generously helped make that happen. I will never forget her generosity and I know my Don was there to welcome her into Heaven with one of his big hugs. Love, Julie and girls

Mom, God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put His arms around you, and whispered,"Come with me." With tearful eyes we watched you suffer, and saw you fade away. Although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating last Thursday. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the Best! Love you
