To the family of a fallen Marine,
I served with Greg in Vietnam and was ten feet from him when he was wounded Oct 2, 1968 in the village of Nui Kim Son, Quang Nam. We spoke for a few seconds and then attended to the more serious wounded. I am so sorry for the pain the family has been through with the loss of Greg. It saddens me not to have talked to him after the war. Only until Nov 2011 did I go looking for him and learned of his faith.

Gig..it seems our journey in this life has ended...Who knew the adventures we'd have, our trials and tribulations, and ultimately our union in marriage because we loved and believed in each other...often we'd say, the best choice we ever made...
I will always consider myself a very lucky lady to have a been a part of your life. You are with me forever, and I can't wait till our next big adventure....See you on the flip side!!
I love you Gig, Proudly, your wife, PJ

I am so sorry for your loss. I went to grade school and graduated high school with Greg. I am so glad I was able to talk to him a few years ago at the class reunion and share some laughs about our school years. He was a funny guy! I am proud of and grateful for his service to our country during the Vietnam War. You will be missed, Gig!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to "Gigs" family. He will be truly missed. He always made us laugh when at the Eagles in Bloomington and my husband got to know him well through the VA. Thanks for serving our country and may you family have comfort in knowing you enjoyed life to the extreme (especially those cool cars/bike). You will be truly missed.

We little knew that morning, that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our friendship chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as GOD calls us one by one, The Chain will link again.

Aunt Peggy, Please know you are loved and that even though he is on a different ride now... he is still with you and he will still be your rock as he will always be in your heart. Mom and I love you, baby girl and we are here for you no matter what.
Uncle Gig, You will be missed. You are an amazing man with one of the most generous hearts I have ever come across. I will miss you greatly, miss talking to you, joking with you, and making you laugh. The one thing that I do find comfort in ... is Dad will be there to keep you company with those hot rod cars and "bad ass" two wheelers in Heaven.. you both will be "low riding" together.
I love you both so much!!!!! Love, Melissa

Terry & family, I only knew Gig slightly and had not seen him since the 60's. My heart goes out to all of you in your loss. It is never easy to lose someone we love, but I'm sure that the circumstances of his death makes it doubly hard. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. May God Bless you all and may you find comfort in memories of happier times together with Gig.

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die!
