Obituary of Karen Joy Roach
Orleans Karen Joy Roach, 53, of Orleans, IN, died at 8:30 pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at her residence.
Born February 20, 1958 in Blue Island, IL, she was the daughter of James and Imogene (Denny) Roach. She married Bernard Berea and he preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Indiana University with a Masters Degree and from Purdue University with a Bachelors Degree. She was an Art and Math teacher at Chapel Hill Middle School in the Indianapolis School System. She was a member of the Guthrie Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She was an active volunteer in 4-H and helped with Lawrence Co. Aquatics meets.
Survivors include her parents of Orleans; three children, Airman David Ford who is stationed in Korea, Clare Ford of Indianapolis and Natalie Berea of Orleans; two brothers, Terry Roach and wife, Teresa of Missouri and Neal Roach of Georgia; one sister, Sandy Adams and husband, Tony of Paris Crossing, IN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Kathy J. Bailey. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 9th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Elder Roy Motsinger and Elder Mike Chastain officiating. Burial will follow in the Guthrie Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Guthrie Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
