Obituary of Ruby Darlene Ratliff

Bedford Ruby Darlene Ratliff, 55, of 4638 Vinegar Hill Road, Bedford, died at 2:30 am on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at her residence. Born August 14, 1950 in Norfolk, VA, she was the daughter of Robert Lee and Evelyn (Kersey) Haskett. She was a lineworker for Visteon in Bedford for twenty years and a member of Local 84907 IUE/CWA. She enjoyed riding horses and fishing. Survivors include two sons, Jeremy Ratliff and his wife, Brooke of Williams; Kenny Kern of Ellettsville; her fiance, Jeff Turner of Bedford; one sister, Lola Lewis and her husband, Bob of Bedford; one niece, Heather Sowders and her husband, Teddy, of Heltonville; one nephew, Joseph Lewis of Bedford; Jeffs daughters, Barbie Roberts and her husband, Chris and Darra Turner both of Bedford; one great niece, Hannah Sowders; two great nephews, Brye Lewis and Hayden Parker; Jeffs grandchildren, Drew and Anna Roberts and Taylor Cundiff. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, September 2nd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Rob Kirts and Rev. Cecil Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
