Obituary of Ruth M. Ramey

Bedford Ruth M. Ramey, 92, of Bedford, died at 8:30 am on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the White River Lodge in Bedford. Born February 7, 1917 in Bicknell, IN, she was the daughter of John C. and Henrietta (Butler) Dye. She married George T. Ramey on May 20, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1993. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Bedford. Survivors include the children, Richard Ramey and wife, Marilyn, Warren Tom Ramey and wife, Rita, Ladonna Sue Elkins all of Bedford, David Ramey and wife JoAnn of Mooresville; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughters, Patricia Godsey and Gloria Bailey; granddaughter, Carla Godsey; her parents; her husband; three brothers, Ward, David and John Dye and a sister, Martha Fields. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 4th at Green Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow. Friends may call from 12:00 noon to 1:45 pm on Wednesday, November 4th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
