Obituary of Geneva I. Pruett-Kern

Bedford Geneva I. Pruett-Kern, 88, of 701 7th Street, Bedford, died at 10:51 am on Friday, June 17, 2005 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. She was born January 12, 1917 in Lawrence County. She worked at Kerns Restaurant and later worked for M. Fine & Sons in Bedford for many years and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She married Hubert L. Pruett in June 1935 and he died in April 1984. She later married John D. Kern on January 12, 1990 and he survives. Surviving with her husband John is one daughter, Joyce Pemberton of Bedford; four sons, Roy Pruett and his wife Evelyn of Bedford, James Pruett and his wife, Donna of Terre Haute, Harley Pruett and his wife, Marie of Williams and Edward Pruett and his wife, Rose of Bedford; nineteen grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kenneth Larry Pruett, one great grandchild, Sarah Pruett. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, June 20th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Pinhook Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 19th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. View Video Tribute
