Obituary of Dwight Franklin Prow
Bedford Dwight (Javy) Franklin Prow, 86 of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born in Bedford, IN on March 28, 1924, the son of Dwight Wendell and Virginia Beatrice (Earley) Prow. He was a graduate of Mitchell High School. Javy was a member of New Life Apostolic Church. He recently celebrated 50 years as a member of Iron Workers Local Union No. 22.
He is survived by his wife, Cleda Hubbard Prow; son, Jerry (Tammie) Prow, and daughter, Sherry Prow; grandchildren, Lisa (Eric) Meadway, Jeff Prow, and Chris Prow; great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Brandon Meadway. Also surviving him are sisters, Mary Elkins, Phyllis Kinder and Vicky (Jon) Woody, and brother, Kenneth (Barbara) Prow. He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant son, Richard Allan Prow. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 31st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Greg Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 30th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information
