Obituary of Arlie O. Propes

Bedford-Arlie O. Propes, 98, of Bedford died at 12:28 A.M. on Saturday, February 05, 2011 at the I.U. Health Bedford Hospital. Born September 19, 1912 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky he was the son of Bert and Tessie Lou (Bailey) Propes. He married Helen Propes. He was a WWII veteran serving with the U. S. Army. He was self-employed and worked many jobs during his career. Survivors include: one niece: Delores Turner and her husband Jack of Bedford; 1 great niece: Denise Brock of Bedford; three great nephews: Dale Robbins, Dickie Robbins, and Danny Robbins all of Bedford; and his care giver: Justine Blackwell and her husband Danny of Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three wives. Funeral Information A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 10th at the Green Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of the American Legion Gillen Post # 33. Cremation was chosen no visitation is scheduled.
