Obituary of Roger L. Bailey

Heltonville Roger L. Bailey, 63, of 1005 Fairview Mundell Road, Heltonville, died at 3:41 pm on Monday, September 5, 2005 at the residence of his father. Born January 17, 1942 in Lawrence County, he was the son of William (Bill) and Gladys (Whitted) Bailey. He married Annette Emmons on November 20, 1960 and she survives. He was a self-employed logger. Survivors include his wife, Annette of Heltonville; his father, William (Bill) of Heltonville; one son, Michael Bailey of Bedford; two daughters, Amy Huff and her husband, Scott of Greenwood; Carie Robbins and her husband, Brian of Portage, IN; three grandchildren, Joseph, Jeffery and Jessica Huff; one brother, Duane Bailey and his wife, Dana of Bedford; six sisters, Verla Norman and her husband, Donald of Brownstown; Marilyn Grissom of Ft. Myers, FL; Marian Bartlett and her husband, Joe of Bedford; Ingrid Ann Hornback and her husband, Arvel of Greenwood; Rita Gray and her husband, Raymond of Valonia and Shana Hobson of Bedford; sister-in-laws, Joan Bailey and Susie Bailey both of Bedford; brother-in-law, Tom Emmons of Medora; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys; four brothers, Carl, Dennis, Ronnie and Lester Bailey. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 8th at the Fairview Community Church with Pastor John Wisley officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday at the Fairview Community Church.
