Obituary of Teddy H. Bartlett

Bedford Teddy H. Bartlett, 85, of Donica Church Road died at 9:50 am, Wednesday, September 08, 2004 at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born October 23, 1918 in Monroe County, he was the son of Stanley Doc and Hazel (Adams) Bartlett. He married Norma Sharr on January 9, 1945. He was a lifelong farmer and a retired bus driver for Needmore School. He was an active member of the Bartlettsville Christian Church where he served as treasurer and trustee for over 40 years, a Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army and a member of the Springville Feeder Auction Association. He was well known for the love that he gave to his large family, many friends, neighbors and church. Along with his love for family and friends was the hard work and dedication he had for his farm. Life to him was drinking pepsis, checking the cows, cutting hay and hauling grain to Standish Feed Store. His love for farming and pride in his community and country showed in his everyday life. Surviving are his wife, Norma, one son , Jack Bartlett and his wife Kay of Bedford, two daughters, Donna Fish and her husband David of Bedford, Betsy Robertson and her husband Jerry of Bedford, eight grandchildren, Kelly Wright and her husband Mike, Lori Cummings and her husband Jamie, Amanda Turner and her husband Erik, Jaclyn Bartlett and her fiancee, Aaron Jackson, Darin Fish and his wife Danielle, Kortni Fish, Jamie Norman and her husband, Tevin, Joni Robertson and her fiancee Nathan Combs, nine great grandchildren, one brother, Joe Bartlett and his wife Marian of Heltonville, one sister, Maxine Tabby Smith and her husband Herman of Judah, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one great grandson, Brady Wright, three brothers, Sammy, Richard and Bernard Pug Bartlett, two sisters, Gladys Sharr and Helen Hancock. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 11, 2004 at the Bartlettsville Christian Church with Pastor Rick Smale and Barry Buck Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Bartlettsville Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Day & Carter Mortuary from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 9, 2004 and from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, September 10, 2004.
