Obituary of Jerry L. Poole

Oolitic Jerry L. Poole, 69, of Oolitic, died Monday, March 25, 2013 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital. Born July 15, 1943, he was the son of Earl D. Poole, Hazel (Mason) Stephens and step-mother, Katie Poole. He married Emma L Wilson on October 30, 1961 and she preceded him in death on December 2, 2007. He was a member of the Williams Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Hazel Stephens; his step-father, Howard Stephens; a son, Kevin Poole and wife, Pam of Bedford; a daughter, Renee Arthur and husband, Roger of East Oolitic; two granddaughters, Kayla Wells of Tennessee and Emilee Arthur at home; five step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; eleven step great grandchildren; a brother, James (Angie) Poole; a half-brother, William (Jan) Stephens of Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Gloria Poole; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl; step-mother, Katie Poole; his wife, Emma; two brothers, Allen and Kenny; two step great grandchildren; two nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 29th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Perry Tom East officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, March 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
