Obituary of Marcia May Hirtz

Bedford Marcia M. Hirtz, 76, of 1509 6th Street, Bedford, died at 7:05 pm on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital. Born May 27, 1934 in Crab Orchard, KY, she was the daughter of John H. and Lillie (Pemberton) Adams. She married Francis Hirtz on November 27, 1949 and he survives. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Survivors include her husband of sixty-one years, Francis, of Bedford; two daughters, Jeanne Bowen and husband, Rick of Jane, Mo and Janet Viner and husband, Steve of Edmond, OK; seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hirtz of Bedford; two sisters, Jewell Baker and husband, Charles of Oolitic and Verla Winnings and husband, Stirling, of Mesa, AZ; a brother, Phillip Wayne Adams and wife, Hazel, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Julia Hicks; two sons, John D. and Joseph A. Hirtz. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 21st at Green Hill Cemetery with Fred Hirtz officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
