Obituary of Boyd Edward Phillips

SpringvilleBoyd Edward Phillips, 58 of 164 Phillips Lane passed away at 9:09 A.M. Sunday, June 24th at Bloomington Hospital. Born October 22, 1948 in Wayne County, KY, he was the son of Lee Wesley Phillips and Ottie Mae (Thompson) Phillips. He retired from General Electric. He married Mary Phillips on October 14, 1967 and she survives. Surviving with his wife are two daughters: Theresa Phillips of Bloomington; Denise Haggard of Monrovia; one son: Kyle Phillips of Guthrie; four grandchildren: Jared Haggard, Blake Davis, Silas Phillips and Liam Phillips; two brothers: Wendell Phillips and Danny Phillips both of Springville; three sisters: Loretta Keseric of Ellettsville; Joyce Godsey of Guthrie; and Sue Keithley of Springville. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers Hobart, Goldie, Rufus and William Phillips and four sisters: Mossie Martin, Evalee Phillips, Claire Phillips and Pauline Phillips. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 27th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Brothers Wendell & Alan Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Springville West Cemetery. Friends may call at Day & Carter Mortuary on Tuesday, June 26th from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 9:00 until the service hour.
