Obituary of Charline Phillips

Bedford Charline Phillips, 84, of Bedford, died at 3:15 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Stonebridge Health Campus. Born October 17, 1929 in Carriere, MS, she was the daughter of John and Lorena (Stewart) Watkins. She married Elmer Phillips on February 9, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2004. She retired as an assembly line worker at RCA and was a member of Valley Mission Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include two daughters, Sherry East and husband, Charles of Paoli and Cherri Linthicum and husband, Walter of Lebanon, TN.; a grandson, Charles Phillips East; two brothers, Mondel and Norman Watkins both of Mandaville, LA; She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Marvin Watkins and a sister, Christine Peterson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 22nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Max Abel officiating. Burial will follow in Hanson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 21st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
