Obituary of William A. Phillips
Springville- William A. Phillips of Springville went home to be with his Lord at 12:54 AM on November 19, 2006 at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones after a short illness.
Born June 26, 1943 he was the son of Lee and Ottie Phillips. He married Virginia Broome on March 18, 1966 and she survives. He worked in the limestone quarries, and for the past 22 years for Stan Armstrong cattle farm in Springville
William is survived by his wife Virginia Phillips of Springville; two sons, Jerome Hettle and his wife Debbie, and Wesley Phillips and his wife Tina; one daughter, Lisa Hillenburg and her husband Robin; six grandchildren, Colin Crose, Carla Hettle, Darren and Daniel Phillips, Dawn, and Chad Hillenburg; three brothers Wendell Phillips and his wife Joyce, Boyd Phillips and his wife Mary, and Danny Phillips and his wife Connie; three sisters, Loretta Keseric and her long time companion Ralph Malonek, Joyce Godsey and her husband Alfred, and Zella Keithley and her husband Mitchell; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Mossie Martin and Evalee Phillips, and one brother Hobart Phillips. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 22nd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Wendell Phillips and Bro. Alan Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Springville West Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21st, 2006 and from 10:00 am until the hour of service at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
