Obituary of Larry Phemister

Bedford Larry G. Phemister, 71, of 8378 State Road #58, Bedford, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at his residence. Born May 19, 1940 in Carterville, IL, he was the son of Cleve and Verna (Barriger) Phemister. He married Betty Woods Roll and she preceded him in death. He later married Joann Zike and she also preceded him in death. He retired from Bruner Engineering and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include step-children, Kenny Roll and wife, Vickie of Martinsville, John Roll of Bedford, Lois Burnside and husband, Ron of Vallonia, Kenneth William Taylor and wife, Penny of Bedford, Connie Prairie and husband, Jim of Vallonia; several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives and a step-son, Richard Roll. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with David Zempel officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the hour of service on Thursday, February 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
