Obituary of Terry L. Pemberton

Oolitic Terry L. Pemberton, 60, of 300 Lafayette Ave., Oolitic, died at 6:22 am on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at his residence. Born August 20, 1950 in Bedford, he was the son of Robert and Bertha (Bunch) Pemberton. He married Becky Ritchison on August 4, 1970 and she survives. He was a concrete and maintenance worker at NSA Crane for thirty years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Viet Nam War where he received the Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Becky, of Oolitic; a son, Terry Pemberton, Jr. and wife, Jona, of Bedford; two daughters, Vonda Russell and husband, Gene and Vanie Doty, all of Mitchell; a brother, Tony Pemberton and wife, Melissa, of Bedford; two sisters, Bobbie Pemberton and Frankie Pemberton both of Muncie and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Marilyn Pemberton; a brother, Robert Pemberton and a grandson, Levi Pemberton. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 14th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. A private family committal will be conducted. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, January 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
