Obituary of Luella E. Pearson
Springville Luella E. (Elizabeth) Pearson, 86, of Springville, IN, where she had been residing with her daughter and son-in-law over a year since a serious illness, died at 6:45 pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the Bloomington Hospital.
Born January 23, 1919 in Martin Co., on the CRANE Depot property, she was the daughter of Marlin J. and Nellie (Crane) Hert. She married Worth T. Pearson and he preceded her in death. She was a beautician in Springville and Oolitic and had been employed at Sarkes-Tarzian in Bloomington, General Motors in Bedford and the Springville Feeder Auction. She was a member of the Springville Methodist Church.
Luella will be remembered for her comforting ways and keen sense of humor. She was an old-fashioned farm wife and a great cook. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Jocelyn Brooks and her husband, Don of Springville; grandaughters, Jennifer England and her husband, Ron, Gretchen Brooks and Autumn Pearson. Three great grandaughters, Chelsea, Morgan and Lauren. One sister, Kathleen Mitchell and her husband, Charles of Edinburgh and their families. A brother-in-law, James May and his family of Springville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Nolan Hert, one sister, Joanne May and one son, William (Bill) E. Pearson. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 20th at the Springville West Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Witmer officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information
