Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Parsley

Bedford Mary Elizabeth (Simmerman) Parsley was born in Martin County, Indiana on February 26, 1917. She passed away at StoneBridge Health Campus on September 28th. She was the daughter of John Everett Mike Simmerman and Carrie Mae (Inman) Simmerman. She married Lloyd Parsley on October 12, 1940 and he survives. Their family included their two sons, Clovis and his wife Jeanette, and Dennis and his wife Rhonda; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Viola Owens and Dovie Barnette and one brother, Paul Simmerman. One brother, Eldridge Simmerman survives. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ and a homemaker who dedicated her life to serving her family with her love, guidance, hospitality and spiritual example. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 30th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
