Obituary of Hazel Lucille Parrish

Texas Grandma departed this life to be with the Lord where he said Well done my good and faithful servant, enter in. Hazel Lucille Parrish was born in Clay County, Indiana on October 19, 1921 to Claude and Mae Bowman. She met James Samuel Parrish and they married in November 1945. Survivors include two sons, Russell Parrish and Charles (Sonny) Parrish and his wife, Glenda all of Texas City, TX; her siblings, Mary Alice Loudermilk and Russell Bowman both of Brazil, IN and Colleen Smith of Washington, IN; four grandchildren, Brandi Armacost and her husband, Chris, Joshua Lewis, Larry Irons and James Parrish and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Kenneth, Clifford, Junior and Charles Bowman. Hazel spent all her life helping others, taking care of her husband and loving her family. She was a life-long member of the Avoca Baptist Church. Hazel will be missed by all and loved forever. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, November 28th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kyle Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm on Sunday, November 27th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. View Video Tribute
