Obituary of Clara Ellen Parham

Bedford - Clara Ellen Parham, 87, of White River Lodge, formerly of Cambridge Square in Bedford, died at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29th, at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on October 1, 1915 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Berlin and Goldia (Harrell) Stafford. She married J. Edward Parham on December 24, 1936, he preceded her in death. She worked for many years as property manager for Presidential Estates in Madison, IN. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bedford and a member of Eastern Star. Surviving is one son: James E. Parham of Maitland, FL; one daughter: Jane Smith and her husband, Walter E. of Bedford; two sisters: Helen Grubb of Bedford and Rose Hardwick of Florida; one brother: J. Eugene Stafford of New Mexico and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Gordon Stafford; two sisters: Marguerite Davis and Roberta Boruff. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3rd, from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2nd, and from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
