Obituary of Doyle Packwood

Bedford Doyle Packwood, Sr., 76, of Bedford, died at 7:51 am on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at his residence. Born January 15, 1938, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Raymond R. and Geneva Opal (Bunn) Packwood. He was a graduate of Oolitic High School with the class of 1956. He married Ginger Hardwick on November 16, 1974 and she preceded him in death on November 30, 1990. He retired after thirty-eight years of service with RCA. He was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovahs Witness. Survivors include a son, Doyle Packwood, Jr. of Bedford; a cousin, Jim Mullenix of Washington; a niece, Kim Jewell of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Robert and Wilbur Packwood and a sister, Nola Lavell. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 7th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Art Ingerman officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, November 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
