Gloria, Debbie, Jerry and Randy: I was visiting Cheryl and my grandkids when Bob called me with the news or you know I would have been there. What fond memories I have of Zeb-always teasing him about being 1/2 Hilltopper since he married one. What a great legacy he leaves! He will be missed by many. My prayers are with you from afar. We will miss Zeb greatly. He would always kid around with me - when I was in my heavy mascara phase (15 yrs ago lol) - he would call me "Tammy Faye" lol... That was the first thing he said to me when I walked in the room that last Friday to see him... "Hey - there's Tammy Faye". I always told him he was my "adopted" grandpa since he was more of a grandpa to me than my own... I will miss him greatly. Love you to Gloria and Family.

A good and decent man has surrendered himself to a Loving God who has never forgotten him or you. It is our sincere hope that your grief will be short and the wonderful memories of his life will be infinite.
Keep his story in your hearts. Share it as long as you can. Better yet, teach your families the best lessons you learned from Mr. Hawkins.
Remember the promises of Heaven. In this life, we are raised enough to where we can lift up our hands to where He will reach out, take our hands, and lift us the rest of the way.
Your father will always be as close as your heart. You might even feel his temptings from time to time . . . the gentle reminders that dad is always watching.

Our sweet friend who knew no stranger has went on to meet his Maker, Redeemer and Savior Jesus Christ. Zeb, you had a unique way of loving others and I am grateful to be counted in that number. I loved seeing you at church or out around town. You won't know until we see each other again just how very much you have come to mean to me. Thank you for your hugs, your smiles and the time you took for me and my family.
