Obituary of Esther Marie Hill

Bedford Esther Marie (Hall) Hill, 77, of 506 S Street, Bedford, died at 2:00 am on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at her residence. Born August 8, 1926 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Oral Lovell and Addie Marie (Jackson) Hall. She was the widow of James Lawrence Hill. She worked for Ingalls Stone Co. and retired from NWSC CRANE after twenty years of service. She was a member of the John Wallace Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, an active volunteer of the American Red Cross and a member of Hillcrest Christian Church in Bedford. Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Marie Cummings of Bedford; one sister, Elizabeth J. (Betty) Hammel of Bedford; one brother, David Lovell Hall and his wife, Clara of Bedford and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, James (Jimmy) Richard; twin daughters, Carolyn Ann and Marilyn Anne Hill and one brother, Richard Oral Hall. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 4th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 3rd and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
