Obituary of Ralph Noel

Bedford Ralph Noel, 78, of 1618 1st Street, Bedford, died at 11:10 pm on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born April 10, 1928 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Hobart and Lola (Cooper) Noel. He married Bernice Kirkman Butcher on May 13, 1986 and she survives. He was retired from Central Foundry in Bedford and a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #440 and the Grace Baptist Church in Springville. Surviving with his wife, Bernice is one daughter, Patricia Ann Buker; one step-son, Dennis Godsey of Springville; two step-daughters, Patricia Super of Bedford and Beverly Keister of Martinsville; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Donald and Delmar Noel; two sisters, Mary Catherine Cox and Margaret Early. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 29th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
