Obituary of Benjamin Ray Nobles

Clever, MO Cpl. Benjamin Ray Ben Nobles, 28, of 1768 Union Ridge Dr., Clever, MO, died at 8:01 am on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, MO. Born April 22, 1982 in Marlton, NJ, he was the son of Bryant R. RayNobles and Paula (Turner) Fraley. He married Amy Childers on June 20, 2008 and she survives. He was an aircraft mechanic with the Missouri National Guard. He was active in 4-H and F.F.A. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle and horseback riding. He attended Donica Church of God and was a member of the Springville Feeder Auction. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying small planes. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved Dale Earnhardt He joined the military in 2004. He completed basic training at Ft. Jackson, SC and completed AIT at Ft. Eustis, VA. He was a Blackhawk engine mechanic and later made crew chief at Shelbyville National Guard. He later was a member of National Guard of Bedford when he was trained in power generator operations. In March 2010, he joined Missouri National Guard as a Blackhawk engine mechanic.Survivors include his wife, Amy of Clever, MO; his mother, Paula Fraley and husband, Dr. John Fraley of Starke, FL; a half-brother, Paul Nobles of Pensacola, FL; a half-sister, Trenette Nobles Mullins of Memphis, TN; three children, Lauren, Braxton and Jackson Nobles; two step-sons, Kalep and Jakob Tostin. He was preceded in death by his father, his maternal grandparents, Archie and Joan Turner; his paternal grandparents, Bryant and Hattie Nobles. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 14th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Chaplain Dustin Kennedy of the Missouri National Guard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 13th and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, June 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
