Obituary of Gladys M. Nikirk

Oolitic Gladys M. Nikirk, 79, of 825 Vista Drive, Oolitic, passed away at 5:35 pm on Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Westview Manor Nursing and Rehab. Center. Born August 17, 1925 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Mundy) Wagoner. A homemaker and a member of the Oolitic Pentecostal Church, she married Warren Nikirk on August 31, 1943. Surviving is her husband, Warren of Oolitic; one daughter, Carol Parish and her husband, Carl W. Parish of Bedford; one son, Tommy Dean Nikirk of Oolitic and one granddaughter, Corey Brooke Nikirk; three sisters, Marjorie Voorhies of Mitchell, Nancy Brock and Phyllis Hill both of Bedford and her close personal friend, Linda Connors of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Larry Stephen Nikirk in 1973; one brother Harold Wagoner and one sister, Mary Boling. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 2nd with Rev. Mark Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Friends may call at Day & Carter Mortuary on Tuesday, February 1st from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm
