Obituary of Anna L. Nikirk

OoliticAnna L. Nikirk, 73, of 201 Meadow Lane, Oolitic passed away at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 2nd at her residence. Born on February 6, 1931 in Frankfort, KY, she was the daughter of Holly Peavler and Corinne (Robertson) Peavler. A Homemaker, she attended Avoca Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Bedford First Christian Church and the Order of Eastern Star of Campbellsburg. She married Wendell E. Nikirk on January 25, 1957 and he survives. Surviving with her husband, Wendell, are four daughters: Cheryl Bryant and her husband, Garry of Bloomington; Linda Anderson and her husband, Ronald of Bloomington; Vallerie Nikirk of Oolitic and Wendy Butterfield and her husband, Steve of Oolitic; four grandchildren: Darbi Smith; Shelbi Smith; Brant Butterfield and Holly-Hope Butterfield; two sisters: Billie Boyd of Fayetteville and Pamela Allen of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband: Raymond Lee Williams. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 6th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Kyle Witmer officiating. Entombment will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Monday, April 5th from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Day & Carter Mortaury.
