Obituary of Maude Edith Nickless

Maude Edith Nickless, 88, of Bedford and formerly of Mitchell, passed away at 5:37 P.M. Friday, November 6th at the Stonebridge Health Campus. Born on November 23, 1920 in Celina, TN she was the daughter of Robert Key and Ernestine (Gray) Key. She retired as assistant manager of Suzannes Dress Shop. She was a member of the Bedford Seventh Day Adventest Church, Delta Theta Tay and held a nursing home administrators license. She married Jerome Jackson on December 23, 1940 and he died on March 4, 1970; she then married James Osborn on February 14, 1975 and he died on August 4, 1992; she later married W. Paul Nickless on August 22, 1996 and he died on April 12, 2003. Surviving are step daughters: Barbara Baxter and Joyce Baker both of Williams, IN; Paula Nickless of Nashville, TN; Lou Callahan of Fayetteville, IN; Sue Wagner of Louisiana; and Gayle Warrell of St. Augustine, FL; step-sons: Paul T. Nickless of Indianapolis, IN and Timothy Nickless of Williams, IN; one sister: Mayme C. Boehning of Lafayette, IN; 18 step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren; two nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother: Robert Key and sister: Mildred Thurman. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 11th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Fernando Ortiz officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Hills Cemetery in Odon, IN. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 10th from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Day & Carter Mortuary.
