Obituary of Mary Pearl Nickless

Bedford Mary Pearl Nickless, 88, a resident of the Hospitality House in Bedford, died at 12:24 am on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Bloomington Hospital. Born December 7, 1918, in Benton Co., IN, she was the daughter of William and Goldie (Morris) Ellsworth. She married Francis A. Nickless on August 15, 1934 and he preceded her in death. She was a bus driver for Fayetteville School and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bedford. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Frances Hutton and Avonda Mae Krause both of Berrien Springs, MI; two sons, Michael L. Nickless of Charlotte, MI and John E. Nickless of Crestview, FL; eleven grandchildren; six step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three sisters, Virginia Moyer and Marge Webster both of Illinois, Lucille Bass of Georgia; one brother, John Ellsworth of Illinois; several nieces and nephews including Bruce Nickless of Oolitic who was her caregiver. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Irene Ronk, one son, Austin P. Nickless (in infancy) and one great great grandchild, Michelle Walker. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, May 11th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Michael Nickless officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Union Christian Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information .
