Obituary of Barbara S. Nicholson

Mitchell Barbara S. Nicholson, 64, of Mitchell, died at 1:00 am on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at her residence. Born August 23, 1949 in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Noble A. and Cora Marie (Wagner) Russell. She married Nelson Nicholson on April 7, 1973 and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2008. She had worked at Garden Villa for twelve years and attended Grace Full Gospel Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Mitchell, Eagles Auxiliary and enjoyed playing bingo. Survivors include four brothers, Mike Russell and wife, Rita of Bedford, David Russell and wife, Luella, Jim Russell and wife, Lydia all of Mitchell, Kenny Russell and wife, Wanda of Orleans; a sister, Shirley Russell Roberts and husband, Keith of Owensburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Peggy Russell and Alice Collins; four brothers, LeRoy, Jeffrey, Donald Joseph and Steve Russell. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Brent ONeal officiating. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
