Obituary of Nelson E. Nicholson

Bedford Nelson E. Nicholson, 64, of 1112 T Street, Bedford, died at 4:18 pm on Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Bloomington Hospital. Born August 9, 1943 in Bedford, he was the son of Homer and Dolly (May) Nicholson. He married Barbara S. Russell on April 7, 1973 and she survives. He was employed at Hatfield Iron & Metal in Bedford years ago. He was a member of the Cecil Martin Post #250 American Legion of Mitchell and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Bedford; one brother, Arthur Nicholson and his wife, Kelly of Bedford; one sister-in-law, Shirley Russell of Mitchell; five brothers-in-law, David Russell and his wife, Louella, Jim Russell and his wife, Lydia all of Mitchell, Mike Russell and his wife, Rita, Steve Russell all of Bedford, Kenny Russell and his wife, Wanda of Orleans. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Warren Nicholson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 3rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jim Russell officiating. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of the Cecil Martin Post #250.
