Obituary of Noble New

Bedford Noble New, 86, of 1401 10th Street, Bedford, died at 5:20 pm on Monday, September 11, 2006 at his residence. Born March 14, 1920 in Nevelville, KY, he was the son of John and Cora (Jones) New. He married Magdalene New on June 14, 1961 in Huntsville, TN. He was a self-employed carpenter retiring in 1982 and a member of the Mt. Giliad Lodge #255, F & AM in Science Hill, KY. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Magdalene of Bedford; one son, Phillip New and his wife, Linda of Bedford; three step-sons, William J. Silvers and his wife, Mamie of Bedford, Donnie Silvers and his wife, Beverly of Jackson Co. and L.B. Silvers and his wife, Thelma of Orleans, IN; one brother, Russell New of Ohio; two sisters, Inez Correll and Stella Morrow both of KY; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, one step-son, Jerry Silvers; three brothers and one sister. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 14th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery.
