Obituary of Helen R. Barnett

BedfordHelen R. Barnett, 77, of 319 Hickory Heights, passed away at 7:30 P.M. Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Monroe Hospital in Bloomington. Born on August 15, 1934 in Lawrence County, IN she was the daughter of Herbert Hutchinson and Mary (Glover) Hutchinson. She retired from RCA in 1976 and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She married Bob Barnett on April 1, 1949 and he passed away on April 6, 1996. Surviving are four children, Marie Prince and husband, Steve of Heltonville, Benny Barnett and wife, Mary of Bedford, Mary Lou Prince and husband, Carl of Bedford and Jimmy Barnett and wife, Denise of Bedford; thirteen grandchildren, Tonya Cunningham and husband, Shawn of Nashville, TN, Teresa Sons and husband, Ronnie of Bedford, Tammy Eager and husband, Marty of Mitchell, Bobby Barnett of Bedford, Mark Barnett of Bedford, Angie Todd and husband, Mike of Heltonville, Mickey Hayes and wife, Jamie of Bedford, Toby Hayes and wife, Michelle of Bedford, Jessica Huber and husband, Josh of Bloomington, Natalie Brazzel and husband, Levi of Owensburg, Amber Fisher and husband, Jason of Bedford, Mandy Barnett of Bedford and David Barnett of Bedford; twenty-four great grandchildren, six great, great grandchildren and two great, great grand due in February & June; three sisters, Hazel Lane of Bedford, Kathryn Bridges of Leesville and Martha Cox of Bedford; one brother, Herbert Junior Hutchinson of Leesville. She was preceded in death by parents, husband and three brothers, Doc and Deb Hutchinson and David Pruett. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 14th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Dr. Lyman Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilgal Cemetery in Heltonville. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour.
