Obituary of Sue Hicks

Bedford Sue (Smallwood) Hicks, 77, of Bedford, formerly of Crawfordsville, IN, died at 1:12 am onTuesday, October 18, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Born October 23, 1933 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Russell and Ruth (Crusius) Smallwood. She was a graduate of Bedford High School and Indiana University. She was a member of the I.U. Alumni Assoc. Survivors include three daughters, Cynthia Hicks and husband, John Sommer of Villa Park, CA, Liz Fitzgerald of Indianapolis, Kathy Smith and husband, Mike of Frisco, TX; five grandchildren, Jacob Fitzgerald, Kathleen Fitzgerald, Katrina Sommer, Verena Sommer and Eva Smith; one brother, Dr. Don Smallwood and wife, Janet of Delray Beach, FL and her dance partner, Lee Waltz. Funeral Information Memorial services will be conducted at 9:00 am on Monday, October 24th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. No visitation hours are scheduled.
